Part I: Privacy Policy
1. Information we collect
- Account data stored on this device: your email, local password credential, adult-confirmation status and confirmation time. We do not ask for or store your date of birth.
- Profile and activity data you provide, including your avatar, display name, posts, comments, messages, follows, likes, saves and training progress.
- Diamond balances, stage unlocks and app-store purchase references needed to prevent duplicate credits.
- Photos or videos you capture or select, and content or attachments submitted through in-app support features.
2. How we use information
- To provide training programs, community features, messages, notifications and local account recovery.
- To preserve your actions and progress across restarts and sign-outs on the same device.
- To process app-store purchases, prevent duplicate credits, enforce app rules and respond to support requests.
- This release does not use analytics or advertising trackers and does not build a tracking profile.
3. Device permissions
- Camera access is used only while you capture training media or open the local camera preview, never in the background. Microphone access is used only while recording video with audio.
- The system photo picker provides only files you select. TrainMate does not request access to your full photo library.
- Notifications are used for direct messages, activity alerts and program updates.
- Camera preview media is processed on your device and is not uploaded or connected to another user.
4. Local data and retention
- App data is stored and processed on your device.
- Each locally registered account has a stable, separate user ID. Its profile, wallet, follows, likes, saves, messages, comments, purchases and learning progress are separated from other accounts on the same device.
- Public starter content and public community content are visible to all accounts. User-owned data remains attached to the account that created it.
- Local data persists across restarts and sign-outs. Clearing app data or uninstalling may remove it. An account-deletion request submitted in Account settings is recorded locally in this release.
5. Sharing and your rights
- We do not sell or rent personal data. Apple App Store or Google Play processes in-app purchases under its own privacy terms. TrainMate stores only the purchase reference and resulting local diamond transaction needed for app functionality.
- You may access or correct profile data in the app, withdraw consent, revoke device permissions or submit an account-deletion request. Contact eorasbonga@icloud.com for privacy questions.
- Registration is limited to people who confirm that they are 18 years of age or older. Do not create an account if you are under 18.
Part II: Terms of Service
1. Scope and account
- Signing in or continuing to use TrainMate confirms that you accept these Terms.
- You must confirm that you are 18 or older when registering.
- Locally registered accounts have separate identities and user-owned data on the device. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping its password private.
2. Programs and community content
- TrainMate provides staged strength programs, a training community and one-to-one messaging.
- Programs become public after automated content and safety checks.
- You are responsible for content you publish. Content that violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines may be removed or restricted.
3. Payments and virtual items
- Diamonds are non-subscription virtual items used only to unlock in-app content. They cannot be transferred or withdrawn for cash.
- The first stage is free. Later stages use the displayed diamond price and are never charged twice.
- Purchases and refunds follow Apple App Store or Google Play rules.
4. Health and safety
- Training content is not medical advice and does not replace care from a qualified clinician.
- Assess your health before training. Stop and seek medical help for chest tightness, dizziness or sharp joint pain.
- You voluntarily accept the physical risks of training.
5. Disputes and termination
- Disputes should first be addressed through good-faith negotiation and may then be submitted to a competent court.
- Serious or repeated breaches may lead to feature restrictions or termination.
